It wasn’t too long ago that I felt like my tech skills were ruled by Murphy’s Law — anything that could go wrong, would go wrong. Not an ideal scenario when you’re a Product Designer, a job that requires you to literally spend your entire day using technology. My livelihood came to depend on me improving my tech skills, and I needed to learn fast.
These days, I now consider myself somewhat of a power user constantly searching for innovative ways to streamline my workflow. I’ve come to realize that with a little research you can usually find a plugin, extension or other resources to help you accomplish whatever you’re trying to do faster.
Staying up to date with the latest tools, news and trends is part of being a designer. It can be overwhelming — especially since it feels like there’s always new industry trend popping up. To help you deal with this information overload, I’ve compiled a list of the resources that allow me to stay in the know.
